Charles River Running — where community comes first
In 2012, Charles River Running opened its doors in Norwood Center. Owner Charlotte Walsh wanted her store to be a hub for all walkers & runners, complete with the very best in shoes, shoe-fitting, apparel & accessories. What she discovered along the way, is that her customers came to Charles River Running for more than just expert shoe fitting. They came for the community, connection & for the value of shopping where they live & work. Buying local is second nature for the customers of Charles River Running & Walsh does her best to give back to the community that keeps her doors open season after season.
Registration is now open for the Spring/Summer Session of the Thursday Strong Run & Walk Club
Our super friendly, non competitive run and walk club, meets weekly on Thursdays at 6:30pm at the store. You always have a choice of 2, 3 or 5 miles and your route and cue sheet is delivered every Wednesday to your email inbox. The registration fee of $90 covers weekly meetups from May 16-August 29th. We hope that you can join us!

Shoe Fittings
Want to guarantee a seat on our fitting bench? Make an appointment for a 30 minute shoe fitting with us. Please be sure to bring your current running or walking shoes with you as we will want to check out your wear pattern. We will supply clean socks for you to use while trying on shoes. Also, make sure to wear comfortable clothing as you may want to hop on our store treadmill or take a loop around the block. Just click on the button below and choose a time that works best for you.
Thursday Strong
Yes, YOU can join a running group. Meet Thursday Strong; part run club, part social club, always 100% YOUR club. We’re a group of runners & walkers that are young & old-ish, slow & fast-ish male & female, who come together every Thursday rain or shine.
